A 2019 A-level economics examiner report said that many students could not distinguish clearly between income inequality and wealth inequality. This video considers this difference drawing on UK data. In April 2016 to March 2018, the top three wealth deciles held 76% of all wealth in Great Britain, while the bottom three wealth deciles held 2%. The top 10% wealth share was 45% in April 2016 to March 2018, largely unchanged since July 2006 to June 2008. (Source: ONS)
